"Our Goal, as TMCT leaders, is to ignite the light within our Students in the field of STEAM, Leadership Development, and Diversity & Inclusion to help them discover their talents and sharpening their skills to prepare for the future." - Rick Lee, Advisory Board Chair

About Us

TRANSFORMATION is exciting. It’s all about growing and changing to meet the needs of those we serve while also paying tribute to, and honoring, our past. This year has been a year of transformation for the Thurgood Marshall Center Trust, Inc. (TMCT).  While we continue to promote and highlight our rich history we are connecting more to our youth both locally and across the country.

To cultivate a world where they are set up for success, we are positioning the organization to provide and lead our youth in three major programming venues: STEAM, LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT AND DIVERSITY & INCLUSION. These three areas of focus will assist and enable young people to make more  comprehensive and informed decisions about what they see for their own futures and for the future of our world, they will help mold as the leaders of the next generation.

This newly invigorated focus has given TMCT the opportunity to rewrite the mission statement reflecting the full scope of our commitment:

Our Mission

To accomplish this transformational endeavor, I recommended the development of a TMCT Advisory board and with the approval of the TMCT Board of Directors we are now implementing programming that will take our youth to the next level.  The TMCT Advisory is diligently working to launch programming in April of 2019.

As always, we continue to support the legacy of Justice Thurgood Marshall and especially through our new programming providing separate but equal opportunity for our youth to be the best they can be as contributing citizens.

I am thrilled about what is next for TMCT as we look forward to seeing the growth of our programs and the impact they will have on the development of our youth, our future leaders. .
